Your new role as Contracts Manager will involve managing contracts related to civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Contract Negotiation and Administration: Draft and negotiate contract terms, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Contractor Performance Monitoring: Monitor contractor performance to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Contract Changes and Variations: Handle contract changes, such as extensions and variations, and ensure all parties are informed.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve any disputes that arise during contract administration.
- Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain detailed records of all contracts and communications, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience managing sites within the civils industry and a good working knowledge of the NEC3 form of contracts. You will also need strong numeracy and IT skills, be able to work to deadlines, possess sound communication skills, and have good commercial awareness.
