Job Summary

Barrington James is seeking a highly skilled Quantum Technology Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quantum technology group, you will be responsible for the development of scalable quantum dot/qubit systems and readout techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development of qubit technology and overall laboratory administration.
  2. Design and develop scalable quantum dot arrays that are compatible with spin readout.
  3. Collaborate with the physics team and circuit designers to provide feedback and enhance qubit structures, excitation and sensing systems, and circuits.
  4. Characterize quantum dots and spin qubits to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Work in a team environment to drive innovation and excellence in quantum technology development.
Requirements
  1. A PhD degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline with a proven track record in the field of quantum technologies and semiconductor technologies.
  2. Clear knowledge of semiconductor qubit architectures, particularly spin qubits.
  3. Understanding of quantum dots and spin qubits, ability to program and solve relevant models.
  4. Experience with semiconductor device characterization and quantum dot characterization.
  5. Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and communicate with a diverse team.
