The Contract Officer role within the Highways Service is crucial in processing Streetworks Permits and street works duties throughout Westmorland and Furness. This position ensures the authority complies with all its duties to coordinate and ensure all works on the highway are approved and planned to reduce congestion and minimize disruption to the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Streetworks Permits and street works duties
  • Coordinate with utilities, contractors, members, and the public
