Executive Search for a Strategic CFO

Marks Sattin Executive Search is partnering with a successful PE-backed B2B infrastructure consultancy business based in Central London to find a strategic and commercial CFO to drive the business through a period of growth and transformation.

About the Role

As a key member of the executive team, you will work closely with the CEO to commercialize the finance function, improving systems, driving efficiencies, and optimizing profit and margin. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering detailed performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting to inform executive-level strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the commercial operations of the business, providing valuable contributions to executive-level strategy
  • Develop and implement financial processes to achieve optimized profit and margin improvement
  • Cultivate and expand strong external relationships with banks, debtors, creditors, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the executive team to steer the strategic trajectory of the business
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with a demonstrated track record operating at board level and serving as a CFO, particularly in a transformation environment
  • Background in PE-backed businesses within the B2B, Tech solutions, Manufacturing, Industrial Services, Building Services, Construction, Facilities Management, and/or related sectors is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in commercializing the finance function, overhauling systems, driving efficiencies, and optimizing profits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
