Concrete Plant Operations Manager

We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of cement, concrete, and aggregates, with a strong presence in North America. As part of a global building materials and sustainability solutions leader, we are committed to excellence and making a positive impact.

This position will provide operational support for our CBM sites in the eastern region, guiding the safe and efficient use of labor and equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with operations management to meet the needs and targets of our various plants.

  • Supervise unionized and non-unionized hourly workforces and maintain a high level of employee morale at the plants.
  • Support the labor relations process by maintaining collective bargaining agreements and employee handbooks, as well as managing grievances.
  • Manage and coordinate production, storage, and general distribution in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, including sales and quality control teams.
  • Plan, organize, and batch concrete loads/deliveries to meet customer demands.
  • Implement, train, administer, and comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform concrete testing in accordance with CSA and ASTM standards.
  • Previous experience in the ready-mix or similar industry is an asset.
  • Excellent people management, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer software, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnights.
  • G Class license and a clear 3-year abstract are required.
  • DZ License is an asset.
  • Heavy Equipment operation experience is a plus.
