Chief People Officer

Nala is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Human Resources to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our schools and academies.
Key Responsibilities- External Representation: Act as the externally facing representative for HR, ensuring that all schools in the Trust receive excellent, efficient, and effective HR support.
- HR Support: Provide HR support to Trust and School leaders, ensuring compliance and risk management issues are addressed.
- Business Partner: Act as a business partner/coach to senior managers, building positive relationships to ensure consistency of approach and develop an understanding of good HR practice/leadership.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the HR team, deploying them effectively to deliver an efficient, effective, and professional HR service to Academies.
- Change Management: Introduce and drive change management initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition to new policies and procedures.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain all HR-related policies and procedures, systems, and processes, underpinned by statutory compliance and best practice.
- Reporting: Report on HR KPIs to the Staffing, Operational & Management Committee.
- Recruitment and Retention: Create and implement a recruitment and retention strategy for the Trust, attracting, fostering, and keeping exceptional employees in all positions.
- Equality Duty: Ensure that the Trust complies with the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Develop effective professional working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including colleagues, educational advisory boards, trustees, trade union representatives, and external agents.
- Investigations: Oversee investigations and complex employee relations issues, including redundancy and grievance.
