About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Science Educator to join our team at Study Group. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff to contribute to the effective overall management of our programmes and the student life cycle.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and development of modules offered by our centre.
  • Deliver and assess provision, preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students.
  • Update and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Liaise with the Student Experience Team and Registry and Operations Team in the delivery of induction, orientation, and registration programmes.
  • Work with the Progression, Welfare, and Support team to support students in achieving their progression aims.
  • Engage in scholarly activity to ensure the delivery of modules is current and relevant.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures at module level and contribute to the annual monitoring and review of the programme to achieve high standards.
  • Fully utilize centre systems to log and monitor student attendance and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student engagement.
  • Complete sponsor reports and academic reports for students.
  • Take up opportunities such as VLE development, peer observation activities, and teaching, learning, and assessment observations to assure standards within the subject area.
  • Undertake any other duties as required from time to time by the Subject Lead, Head of Science, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Promote health, safety, and wellbeing of students and colleagues, holding personal accountability to avoid action that could threaten the health or safety of you, other employees, students, or members of the public.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area, preferably with a teaching qualification and experience of working with international students. A Master's qualification is desirable, and candidates holding a PhD will be particularly welcomed.
