We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at Elysium Healthcare Limited. As a Dietitian - Eating Disorders Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert nutrition care to young people with eating disorders and those with eating difficulties with co-occurring conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Implement evidence-based nutrition care plans, considering risks, stage of recovery, and co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions.
- Conduct weekly progress reviews and provide feedback to the multidisciplinary team during ward rounds.
- Deliver one-to-one nutrition counseling sessions to explore eating behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes about food and health.
- Provide mealtime support and act as a key link between the nursing team, catering department, and multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and deliver the Nourish to Flourish psychoeducation group to help young people understand their eating disorders.
- Participate in one-to-one family support to help families understand the complex relationship between food and health.
- Attend professional meetings with external agencies and conduct pre-admission screenings for new referrals.
- Liaise with the dietetic assistant and hospital's catering department to ensure menu reviews, allergen lists, and portioning sizes are up to date.
- HCPC registration.
- BSc in Dietetics or postgraduate diploma in Dietetics.
- Post-qualification training.
- Post-qualifying experience of working with people with eating disorders, ideally in an inpatient setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders in children and young people and their impact on both the client group and their families/carers.
