About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at Tarmac's Mountsorrel Quarry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to plant breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely and safe manner, minimizing downtime and adhering to maintenance plans and safety protocols.
  • Continuously improve plant performance, safety, and maintenance practices, while maintaining asset reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of our Computer Maintenance Management System and utilize documents to maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines for safe and efficient maintenance.

Requirements

  • Essential: Experience in fabricating and welding, knowledge of maintenance practices, and a Level 3 Apprentice training or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of TPM methodology, Continuous Improvement, and experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis tools/techniques.
