About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Network Engineer to join our team in Swindon. As a key member of our distribution network team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective completion of emergency and fault work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guarantee the timely restoration of power to external customers while prioritizing safety for the workforce, customers, and the environment.
  • Utilize your engineering knowledge to guide and direct internal resources to solutions, focusing on problem-solving and customer service.
  • Act as a field-based technical expert and point of escalation, ensuring workloads are prioritized and managed effectively.
  • Repair or escalate Live Screen work towards a zero target for Guaranteed Standard failures.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and value delivery through self, team, and contract partners, meeting and exceeding customer and regulator expectations.
Requirements
  • Sound business and technical knowledge of electricity distribution, with a basic understanding of how a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) operates and generates revenue.
  • City & Guilds 232 or equivalent, and/or experience within an electrical utilities environment.
  • Thorough understanding of local business plans derived from regulatory price control submissions, with an appreciation of unit cost and financial awareness.
  • Ability to engage at all levels and instill a high-performing culture, with a passion for safety and teamwork.
