Electrical Design Engineer

FINTEC recruit is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for an international engineering business based in Renfrewshire. This is a permanent position, with a salary of £60,000 to £65,000 plus benefits, working 37.5 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing engineering design solutions and full life cycle engineering support.
- Working with new product design, meeting client specifications, and upgrades to existing equipment.
- Preparing engineering documentation, including specifications, proposals, and reports.
- Supervisory/management experience in coaching/mentoring a small team.
- Design and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems with associated calculations.
- Proven electrical and electronics design skills.
- Experience in design calculations and use of software tools, such as CAD packages.
- Knowledge of design standards.
- Experience of control systems design using PLC.
- Experience with PLC industrial automation network interfaces such as Profibus, CANbus, Ethernet, etc.
- Knowledge of DC systems would be an advantage and previous product design experience.
- Experience of design with HV and LV electrical systems.
- Experience of working within marine or defence for standards and classification society regulations (LR, DNV, EFSTAN, etc.).
