About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Service in Tower Hamlets. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide person-centered support to customers, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Contribute to a positive service environment, ensuring the safety and stability of customers, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Ensure adherence to Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols.
  • Deliver support to enable customers to develop independent living skills, including practical tasks, personal care, and financial management.
  • Champion a positive local culture within the service, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Participate in support planning, risk management, and assessment of needs, working collaboratively with the team.
  • Use effective communication skills to ensure customers understand and can make informed choices.
  • Report and support any observations relating to customer welfare.
  • Develop links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers.
  • Shift lead, ensuring effective coordination of staff time and attendance to planned service and customer activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting as required, under the direction of the Management.
