Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team as a Reactive Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our social housing maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services to our tenants, ensuring their homes are safe, functional, and comfortable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing work related to the construction and repair of social housing units
- Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs and maintenance for social housing properties
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot plumbing issues
- Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, sinks, and pipes
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications
- Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in a social housing context
- Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques, tools, materials, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have a certification or diploma in plumbing
- Experience working in social housing or a similar environment
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
