The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and analyzing fMRI, MRS, and other quantitative MR data from newborns with CHD on the 7 Tesla scanner situated in the London Collaborative Ultra-high field system (LoCUS) facility at St Thomas Hospital, London.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and the successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract until 31st October 2025.

Essential Criteria
  1. MSc in a relevant subject area
  2. Knowledge of brain functional MRI preprocessing and analysis
  3. Familiarity with neuroimaging tools
  4. Experience with programming and scripting
  5. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Criteria
  1. Knowledge of ultra-high field neuroimaging
  2. Knowledge of magnetic resonance spectroscopy
  3. Familiarity with statistical and/or machine learning methods for neuroimaging analysis
  4. Familiarity with structural MRI preprocessing and analysis
  5. Experience with neonatal and/or paediatric brain MRI
Application Process

We ask all candidates to submit a copy of their CV and a supporting statement detailing how they meet the essential criteria listed in the advert. If we receive a strong field of candidates, we may use the desirable criteria to choose our final shortlist, so please include your evidence against these where possible.

We encourage all candidates to apply, and we welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about advancing the field of neuroimaging and biomedical research.

We are able to offer sponsorship for G6 Research Associate candidates who do not currently possess the right to work in the UK.
