We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiologist Specialist in Heart Failure to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a leading healthcare provider, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional clinical services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Cardiology, with a subspecialty in Heart Failure. They will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with heart failure, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with heart failure, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols for heart failure management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for GMC registration, including specialist register for Cardiology.
  • Post CCT/CCST or will receive within 6 months.
  • MRCP or equivalent.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Higher degree MD/PhD.
  • Accreditation in GIM.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of general cardiology experience, including acute cardiology and CCU. They will also have evidence of sub-specialist training and be competent in all aspects of echocardiography, stress echo, and TOE.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Undertaken audits.
  • Experience teaching colleagues.

Personal Attributes:

  • Willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities at local, regional, or national level.
  • Commitment to continuing medical education.
