Job Summary

EliteCare Medical Staffing Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at a Level 5 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with various medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
  • Start IVs and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document patient status and responses to treatment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and other healthcare team members.
  • Participate in emergency procedures as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in patient care.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state.
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC (PALS preferred).
  • Previous emergency nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
  • Level 5 Trauma Center with 4 ER beds and 2 Trauma Bays.
  • Patient load averages between 615 patients per day.
  • Staffing includes mid-level providers (NPs) available in-house 24/7.
  • Charge Nurse serves as Patient Care Coordinator with backup assistance to Med/Surg when needed.
Shift Information
  • Schedule: Self-scheduling with guidelines for 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM).
  • Weekend Requirements: 2 out of every 6 weekends.
  • Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday.
  • Call or standby requirements only during low patient volumes.
