Sea Global is proud to be partnering with a leading Transport company in the UK that is undergoing an exciting period of growth. They are currently seeking two procurement professionals to join their busy procurement function.

The company is looking for keen professionals who are looking to progress their career in procurement and have a real focus on corporate service indirect areas, such as Catering, FM, Cleaning, Security, Staff Uniforms, Marketing and Professional Services.

Alternatively, the role may have a real focus on IT and technology spend, including software, hardware, infrastructure, digital etc. The role reports in the Senior Category Manager, who is looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report into and work closely with the Senior Category Manager
  • End to end procurement management, including sourcing and supplier management
  • Develop and implement strategic category strategies across the designated categories
  • Create contractual agreements with suppliers ensuring they are fit for purpose and deliver commerciality to the business
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, advising on best practice for obtaining best value for money

Requirements:

  • Experience within the indirect and IT categories would be highly valuable for this role
  • Ideally you will need to have experience working within a regulated environment and will have exposure to Utilities Contract Regulations (UCR) or Public Contract Regulations (PCR)
  • Experience within end-to-end procurement is essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills
