The Role
We are seeking a Senior Internal Model Risk Manager to join our Internal Model Oversight team, supporting our ambitious change programme. The successful candidate will perform independent validations of our Internal Model and coordinate the end-to-end Line 2 oversight of major model changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform independent validations of the Group's Internal Model
- Coordinate the end-to-end Line 2 oversight of major model changes
- Work closely with other members of the Financial Risk team, Line 1 regulatory capital teams, and the wider business to enhance the Group's Internal Model
- Play a leading role in complex, high-profile projects involving the development of capital modelling methodology, performing independent validations, and reporting on the outcome to senior management and Board committees
Requirements
- Qualified Actuary with experience in developing or validating Internal Models
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II Internal Model and governance requirements, including aggregation, proxy models, and their practical application
- Experience of working in actuarial change delivery and model change applications is desirable
- Pragmatic and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive action and collaboration across boundaries
- Effective communication skills with a variety of colleagues and senior stakeholders across the business
