Senior Estimator

My client, a leading infrastructure company, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their Northern Water Business Unit in Alfreton. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in the water industry.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage material and subcontractor inquiries, identifying suitable partners.
- Attend strategy meetings and site visits to assess risks and opportunities.
- Compare and evaluate subcontractor quotations, ensuring best value for the company.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive tender risk register, mitigating potential risks throughout the tender period.
- Present tenders to senior management, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Degree in Construction or a related field (essential).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Extensive experience in analytical estimating, with a proven track record of managing projects up to £25m.
- Familiarity with various contract types, including design & build, traditional, partnering, and frameworks.
- Experience using estimating software and skilled in cost planning and risk management.
