Community Mental Health Practitioner Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) facility at RAF Brize Norton. As a key member of our Mental Health team, you will provide high-quality mental health services to military personnel and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and experience working in a community setting. You will be responsible for providing individualized care packages to meet the mental health needs of our patients, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health assessments and treatment plans for patients referred to the Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH)
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for mental health problems, including individual and group therapy
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience working in a community mental health setting
  • Substantial post-qualification training and experience in evidence-based psychological therapies
