About the Role

Cooke Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Saltwater Production Manager to join our team in Newfoundland. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of saltwater production and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and policies related to salmon production in Newfoundland.
  • Lead a team of site and area managers to achieve superior quality fish production and meet customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement quality and size targets within the production strategy.
  • Track operational and production KPIs to optimize performance and reduce costs.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and improve services through preferred suppliers.
  • Prepare and present reports on saltwater production and operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in technology related to saltwater production and operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company practices and procedures and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent academic qualification in Aquaculture or a related field.
  • 10 years of related managerial experience in aquaculture or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Technical competency in software applications used by Cooke Inc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and lead a team.
