Job Title: Area Commercial Manager

At Synchro, we are seeking an experienced Area Commercial Manager to join our team in Sussex. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial and contractual management of our telecoms projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Resource Management: Manage the commercial resources of your assigned projects, ensuring effective budget control and contract compliance.
  • Project Variations: Support the authorization and submission of project variations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Risk Mitigation: Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, ensuring the success of our projects.
  • Expertise Provision: Provide commercial and contractual expertise, including valuation certification, correspondence, claims, budget monitoring, and performance data.
  • Cost and Value Data: Provide accurate cost and value data at both project and regional levels, informing business decisions.
  • Team Development: Coach, develop, and mentor junior team members, ensuring the growth and success of our commercial team.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Management: Proven experience in senior commercial management and contractor procurement, with working knowledge of NEC3 ECC forms.
  • Industry Background: Ideally, a background in telecoms, civil engineering, or utilities.
  • Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation with suppliers and partners, finding alternate solutions and resolving issues within contractual terms.
  • Project Oversight: Experience overseeing large capital expenditure projects, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to use data for financial reporting with actionable insights and strategic focus.
  • Educational Qualification: HNC/HND level education, or equivalent.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: £63,000 - £68,000 + Car Allowance
  • Location: Sussex, with occasional UK travel
