Head of Internal Audit Opportunity

Fintellect Recruitment is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our client's Internal Audit function as they continue to grow and expand their operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent, objective assurance to the Board Audit Committee and senior management on the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

  • Develop and implement a robust audit methodology aligned with the Institute of Internal Audit Standards and good practice.
  • Lead the Internal Audit function in line with the Bank's Vision, Strategy, policies, regulations, and Values and Behaviours.
  • Collaborate with management to improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls.
  • Ensure audit findings are accurately recorded, tracked, and validated, and that management provides meaningful and realistic actions to close audit issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10 years' experience in a senior role within Financial Services (Audit/Risk/Governance).
  • Good knowledge of internal auditing, the IIA standards, and experience in delivering audit programmes.
  • Ability to negotiate with Senior Management and align with the strategies, objectives, and risks of the organisation.
  • ACMA or ACCA qualification.
