We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our Finishing/Holographics Process Department at De La Rue. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating various machines, conversion equipment, and ancillary equipment to produce high-quality holographic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Machines and Equipment Safely: Ensure the safe and proper operation of machines, equipment, and processes to meet production targets and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Meet Quality Requirements: Verify that the quality requirements for tasks undertaken are met, and produce materials to a high specification free from defects.
- Record and Report Data: Accurately record and enter data into the Information Systems, and ensure all processes are fully and accurately documented.
- Minimize Waste and Meet Production Commitments: Ensure waste levels are minimized, and production commitments are met, while actively participating in business and process improvement projects and initiatives.
- Provide Training and Support: Provide on-the-job training for new and existing employees, and assist in the development of training manuals and SOPs.
- Comply with Security Instructions: Comply with all security instructions and provide assistance where necessary.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent Experience: Possess relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in manufacturing or a related field.
- Manufacturing Knowledge and Experience: Have good knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, including embossing and holographic production.
- Good Hand-Eye Coordination and Dexterity: Possess good hand-eye coordination and dexterity to operate machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent Numerical and Literacy Skills: Demonstrate excellent numerical and literacy skills to accurately record and report data.
- Attention to Detail and Teamwork: Possess a strong attention to detail and be a good team player with a flexible and honest approach.
- Good Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate good organizational and problem-solving skills to meet production targets and minimize waste.
