We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join our team as an Academic Mentor at a secondary school in Derbyshire. The role involves working independently with students to ensure academic progression for a variety of differing abilities.

The successful candidate will have at least one year's experience as a tutor/educator and an understanding of supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly are essential.

The main duties of this role include working with KS3 and KS4 students, delivering content on a 1:1 basis with students behind target grade, and working with students in preparation for examinations and assessments.

LTF Recruitment have partnered with the school to source a talented academic mentor who can make a positive impact on the students' academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering 1:1 tuition to students in need of academic support
  • Working with students to devise effective improvement strategies
  • Liaising with subject teachers to ensure seamless support
  • Providing regular progress updates to parents and carers

Requirements:

  • At least one year's experience as a tutor/educator
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and consistent approach to work
