An outstanding opportunity has emerged for a Regional Facilities Manager to become part of one of the UK's premier facilities management organizations.

This role entails overseeing the technical teams responsible for delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive maintenance services across the designated region.

The successful candidate will be tasked with managing supervisors, technicians, and client relationships, ensuring that strong working partnerships are established and maintained.

The Regional Facilities Manager must guarantee that all services comply with legislative and regulatory standards while fulfilling service level agreements.

Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting a series of compliance audits promptly, implementing corrective measures as necessary, and fostering process improvements while supporting the training of all direct reports.


People Management Responsibilities:

The Regional Facilities Manager will directly oversee the Multi Skilled Engineers and Supervisors.

  • Recruit and onboard team members in accordance with current recruitment policies, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.
  • Provide training, development, and performance evaluations for direct reports to promote effective leadership and team motivation.
  • Review legal training needs to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Validate that all direct reports are fulfilling their roles effectively.
  • Ensure that Technician training is current and meets established standards.
  • Manage team conduct and capability, applying disciplinary procedures in line with company policies as necessary.
  • Handle team absences fairly and consistently, ensuring return-to-work interviews are conducted after each absence.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized technical background with experience in hard facilities management.

Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance are preferred. Additional qualifications in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing will also be considered.

Membership in professional organizations such as CIBSE or BIFM is advantageous.

A solid understanding of service and repair requirements for various electrical and mechanical systems is essential.

Experience in the facilities management sector, particularly in a multi-client contracted environment, is desirable, along with a background in PPM and compliance.

Proven experience in effectively leading and managing teams is crucial, as is the ability to develop client relationships at a stakeholder level.

Strong computer skills, including experience in data extraction, collation, and presentation, as well as familiarity with CAFM systems, are required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and project management skills are essential.

A results-oriented mindset, accountability for personal and team performance, effective problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are vital.

Flexibility and self-motivation are key attributes.

Experience in managing financial budgets is also required.

A valid driving license is necessary.
