About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Van Elle, the UK's leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects across various sectors, from handover to post-contract, ensuring each project is delivered in accordance with our internal management system and customer/contractual specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects, both in size and value, across various sectors, throughout the full evolution of each project.
  • Work closely with other project managers, procurement managers, and the estimating and design team to deliver projects in the public sector (Road, Rail, Electrification, and Energy).
  • Be the first point of contact for all clients and the supply chain.
  • Take a proactive approach to project management, planning, thinking ahead, and reporting.
  • Ensure each project is delivered in accordance with the internal management system and customer/contractual specifications.
  • Liaise with the procurement manager and estimating department to ensure margins are achieved and expectations met.
  • Liaise with construction managers to ensure installation runs safely and efficiently.
  • Control the project budget throughout, including the invoicing of works.
Requirements
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system would be preferred, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of onsite QHSE and CDM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business and with clients.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Proven experience in project management experience in construction. Piling experience preferable, but not essential.
  • Experience of effectively managing own priorities and meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexibly to support the overall aims of the team and changing priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
