About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Specialist to join our team at Butler Rose. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our clients and contributing to the growth and success of our firm.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily, weekly, or monthly bookkeeping using Xero and other accounting software.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support to clients, responding to queries and assisting with financial planning and analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly reporting and management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory accounts.
  • Payroll and Taxation: Manage payroll and taxation functions, including corporation tax and personal tax.
  • Company Secretarial: Assist with company secretarial duties, including maintaining client records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of work experience in an accountancy firm, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Qualifications: AAT (or ACA/ACCA) studies, with a keen interest in completing the ACA/ACCA qualification via a level 7 apprenticeship.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, including significant experience in Excel, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
