The Role
We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a Trainee Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales growth, and developing your skills and knowledge in the wine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Deliver exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers and driving business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Develop and execute tasting events and programs to engage customers and promote our wine range.
- Take ownership of your wine knowledge, constantly learning about our products and supporting your WSET qualification.
- Ensure the physical appearance and maintenance of your store, both internally and externally.
- Participate in all operational tasks to gain a thorough understanding of the day-to-day operations of running a Majestic Wine store.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement changes to optimize store performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and training requirements.
- Take ownership of your development, utilizing support and resources available.
- Be an example of Majestic's Ways of Working and a source of support for junior team members.
Requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every customer.
- Prioritization and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Self-motivation, ability to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
- Can-do attitude, passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
- Adaptability and resilience to meet the ever-changing demands of our business.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial, but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 & 3 WSET wine qualifications.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
