Job Summary:

The Behaviour Support Assistant will work collaboratively with Senior Learning Support Assistants and Teachers to prepare resources that meet the individual learning objectives of assigned students. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support, under the supervision of the class Teacher, for skills-based learning and track and report on student progress using evidence-based methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Senior Learning Support Assistants and Teachers to prepare resources that meet the individual learning objectives of assigned students.
  • Provide 1:1 support, under the supervision of the class Teacher, for skills-based learning.
  • Track and report on student progress using evidence-based methods, in collaboration with the class Teacher.
  • Facilitate student learning by understanding their goals and targets, encouraging the practise of new skills, and promoting independence.
  • Provide comprehensive support to ensure the well-being and engagement of students in learning.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding policies and procedures to maintain a safe learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred but not required.
  • Proactive mindset to take initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
