We are seeking a Senior Estimator to enhance our Construction division.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in generating profitable tenders for approval and submission, aimed at maximizing our order pipeline and its conversion into market share, revenue, and operating profit within the business unit. Your primary focus will be on estimating project costs, assessing contractual, financial, technical, and operational risks, while identifying opportunities to mitigate risks and enhance gross profit. You will ensure the successful delivery of contracts safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, all while optimizing gross profit and customer satisfaction.
Specific Duties Include:
- Contributing to the preparation of tenders by proposing costs and estimating resources for various projects.
- Leading, managing, and inspiring the estimating team on projects by promoting best practices.
- Engaging in the acquisition of contracts while minimizing risks and maximizing profits through cost estimation for tenders, negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting value engineering efforts.
- Participating in the assessment, preparation, validation, adjudication, and final submission of tenders, focusing on minimizing subcontractor and material costs while collaborating with design, planning, commercial, and bid management teams.
- Estimating costs to meet or exceed client requirements, including obtaining and negotiating quotes.
- Building and maintaining commercial relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tendering and fulfillment processes.
Candidate Profile
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess experience in construction estimating, preferably with a Tier 1 contractor.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Strong technical construction knowledge with experience in our project portfolio.
- In-depth understanding of industry best practices and standards.
- Exceptional research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
- Experience with Single and Two Stage Tendering processes.
