Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Midwife to join our Women's and Children's Research Unit as a Clinical Research Midwife. This is a 12-month Band 6 role available as a part-time post of 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical research studies, including recruiting participants, obtaining informed consent, and coordinating sample collection and data collection.
- Support the management and delivery of clinical trials, ensuring safe and effective delivery of studies.
- Collaborate with the Neonatal research nurse to support NICU-based studies in St Michaels Hospital.
- Contribute to other activities of the research midwife team under the direction of the senior nursing team.
Requirements
- Experience as a Midwife, competent in clinical skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and legal frameworks related to clinical research studies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
