The Opportunity

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will play a critical role in supporting product commercialization, ensuring regulatory compliance from concept to launch. This role will contribute to the growth objectives of the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Formula, Ingredient, and Label compliance with local regulations.
  • Develop and manage Label Specification Sheets, collaborating with technical and marketing teams.
  • Conduct regulatory reviews of current labels and websites, recommending changes.
  • Evaluate and edit promotional materials for food and food supplements.
  • Advise on nutrition and health claims for labels and marketing materials.
  • Support product notifications, ensuring supply continuity.

External Regulatory Management

  • Assist in responding to regulatory agencies regarding product information or issues.
  • Secure documentation from government agencies across the EMEA region.
  • Create product certificates and documentation for product notification/registration.
  • Stay informed of changes to the EMEA regulatory environment.

New Product Introduction Support

  • Support the launch of compliant branded products according to project timelines.
  • Work with contract manufacturers to ensure required documentation and compliance evaluations.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to departments or development project teams.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Regulatory Affairs within FMCG, Food, Nutrition, or Pharma industries.
  • Related regulatory experience with administering local laws and regulations.
  • Experience with food supplement notifications in European Member States.
  • Proven experience working with regional/country-specific regulatory bodies, government agencies, customs, etc.
  • Knowledge of EU harmonized law and non-harmonized areas of food law.
  • Understanding of the sports lifestyle and passion for building nutritional products.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse groups and markets.
  • Ability to innovate and take initiatives.
  • Strong research, analysis, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English and a second European language beneficial.
