Second Engineer (Marine) Role

We are seeking a skilled Second Engineer (Marine) to join our team onboard a traditional 317kw diesel engine motor vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, as well as providing technical support to the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the vessel's diesel engine
  • Monitor and control the vessel's systems, including propulsion, steering, and electrical
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other repairs
  • Collaborate with the crew to ensure the vessel is operating safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as a Second Engineer (Marine)
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation and maintenance
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
