Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical ability to assess supplier performance, costs, and market trends. They will also have competence in managing budgets and the financial aspects of procurement.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
  • Managing supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance
  • Ensuring all purchases meet the company's quality and technical specifications
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimize cost and efficiency
  • Resolving any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and deliveries
  • Preparing and presenting reports on purchasing activities and performance
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring inventory levels and managing stock replenishment
  • Coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of goods
  • Evaluating and improving purchasing processes and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in procurement and supply chain management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of the oil and gas sector, including the technical materials and processes
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess supplier performance, costs, and market trends
  • Competence in managing budgets and the financial aspects of procurement
  • Understanding of cost management and financial analysis principles
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple procurement activities
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, costs, and supplier performance
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in equipment and tools
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities and supply chain operations
