About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Disability Assessor to join our team at Medacs Healthcare. As a Disability Assessor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality functional assessment reports for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals to determine their eligibility for PIP benefits
  • Use clinical expertise to gather and analyze information, and write comprehensive reports
  • Work autonomously, with support from a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, guidelines, and best practices in disability assessment
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) registration
  • Minimum 1 year of post-registration experience in the UK, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong report writing, communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in typing and IT system navigation
