About this role:
We are seeking a self-assured and passionate Principal Carbon Consultant to join our multidisciplinary Climate Change team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships and projects, providing direct mitigation advice to a broad range of clients across infrastructure sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage client relationships and projects, providing direct mitigation advice to clients across infrastructure sectors.
- Develop and implement carbon reduction strategies for major infrastructure projects, including rail, highways, aviation, and energy sectors.
- Collaborate with design teams to identify and implement mitigation measures to reduce carbon emissions.
- Conduct carbon modeling and reporting, and engage with clients to communicate the results and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of international, European, and UK policy, legislative, regulatory, and planning frameworks related to carbon management.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, such as Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of carbon management principles, including EIA, carbon footprinting, and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA).
- Experience in managing client relationships and projects, with a focus on carbon reduction and mitigation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders.
