Our client, a prominent player in the oil and gas sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee activities at their Newcastle facility.
This position is offered as a 12-month PAYE contract, with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage internal logistics operations within the manufacturing environment, focusing on the movement of finished and semi-finished products.
- Foster a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct all internal logistics processes to maximize throughput and maintain quality standards in alignment with the Master Production schedule.
- Employ problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to enhance key performance indicators in the area.
- Organize and implement manufacturing procedures in accordance with established quarterly and annual objectives.
- Oversee and manage front-line manufacturing personnel, typically supervising hourly employees.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or HND, with a minimum of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Experience in generating production plans and progress reports, ideally utilizing software such as Oracle, Excel, or Tableau.
- Demonstrate effective time management, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to measure and manage work performance.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, theories, and practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
- Possess strong organizational, planning, and presentation skills.
