The role of Senior Buyer Key Accounts sits within the Mitie Energy procurement team and reports directly into the Head of Procurement.
This position is responsible for flexible and fixed price-fixed term has and electricity procurement activities, as well as sourcing water and metering contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate product and pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key account customers.
- Articulate how best value for money solutions have been sourced for customers.
- Produce numerical and written analysis of tender bid responses.
- Ensure relevant systems and databases are kept up to date with high-quality information.
- Expert knowledge of energy contracts and cost elements.
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to recognise contractual risk.
- Experience of being responsible for energy procurement, particularly around flexible energy contracts for gas and electricity.
- Ability to construct written reports to evaluate bids and create logical, balanced and clear recommendations.
