Customer Order Management Representative

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage the entire order life cycle, ensuring efficient and timely order processing, and providing exceptional customer service.

This role offers the flexibility of working from various sites across Europe, with a distributed team ensuring no impact on operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Streamline Order Processes: Manage orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Effective Communication: Serve as the single-point-of-contact for customers, providing clear and continuous communication.
  • Resolving Complex Inquiries: Utilize knowledge of Cummins processes to promptly resolve complex customer inquiries.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Keep detailed records to track order progress and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Verify customer compliance with export policies and compile necessary documentation.
  • Quality Management: Liaise with quality teams to resolve issues and maintain high product standards.
  • Supporting Customer Visits: Assist with customer visits to build strong relationships and showcase commitment to customer service.
  • Driving Process Improvements: Participate in or lead process improvement projects to enhance the Customer Order Management department.

Requirements:

  • Supply Chain Planning Experience: Proven background in supply chain planning to manage COM tasks and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP Systems: Strong understanding of Microsoft Office software and experience with ERP systems.
  • Customer Support Skills: Demonstrating proactive customer support throughout the order life cycle.
  • Order Life Cycle Knowledge: Understanding the phases of the end-to-end order life cycle and navigating order life cycle systems.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • College or equivalent degree preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge in customer order management, account management, or supply chain fields.
