Job Summary: Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Pipefitter/Plumber to join our client's team in Barrow. This is a 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.
About the Role: As a Pipefitter/Plumber, you will be responsible for the manufacturing and installation of small and large bore pipe spools using different materials. You will work in the Pipe Shop and on the ship, fabricating and preparing pipework for installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and understanding technical drawings
- Working to datum and imperial measurements
- Understanding of shock clearance requirements
- Cutting and preparation of non-target material pipework
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must be time-served and able to provide trade papers on application. Previous experience in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy industry is ideal.
Working Conditions: Shifts can vary, with predominant shift patterns of 3 on 4 off and nights. You will be required to use appropriate extraction and ventilation, as well as PPE and RPE.
Compensation: Locals can expect to earn £23.28 PAYE per hour, while non-locals can expect £31.28 PAYE per hour. Umbrella rates are also available. Nights shifts pay £25.80 PAYE per hour for locals and £33.80 PAYE per hour for non-locals.
Security Clearance: Successful candidates will be required to gain security clearance before starting on site.
