Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and guide cleaning staff on best practices, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
  • Assign cleaning tasks, inspect work areas regularly, and report any issues to the relevant department.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Perform administrative duties, including scheduling, attendance management, and personnel matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address specialized cleaning needs and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors, responding promptly to cleanliness-related concerns.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a cleaning chargehand, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
  • Solid knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, students, and visitors.
