We are excited to collaborate with a prestigious university that has recently established a new position: Regulatory Reporting Manager. This role is crucial for overseeing the management of statutory reporting with precision and timeliness. The successful candidate will supervise one officer and collaborate closely with the Registry team. This newly created role presents an excellent opportunity to shape and implement a new structure and best practices while leveraging data for strategic internal planning.

Role Overview:

Position: Regulatory Reporting Manager

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Flexible working arrangements available

Salary: £44,000 - £55,000

Benefits: 15% employer contribution to pension, 8.5% employee contribution, 25 days of annual leave, university closure days, and public holidays.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing regulatory reporting to HESA or OfS with student data.
  • Proactive approach to change management, fostering cross-departmental collaboration (Project Coordination).
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in a smaller organizational setting.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to oversee the current data futures return process while assisting the university in developing a technical solution through continuous improvement and transformation. The goal is to manage and utilize student data effectively, ensuring consistency for any data used in internal planning cycles.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to promote best practices regarding student data quality and processing, enabling the post holder to enhance the university's information management capabilities for informed decision-making. In the long run, this role may evolve into planning and forecasting student numbers, but the immediate focus will be on the comprehensive management of student data returns.

You will be joining a supportive team, supervising a Student Data Officer, collaborating with the Registry team, and reporting to the Head of Registry and Academic Registrar. This role offers a blend of strategic oversight and operational involvement in the university's regulatory reporting processes. You will have the autonomy to initiate and lead initiatives that contribute to the team's success and leave your mark on the organization.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in line management.
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner as a student information system.

Target Start Date: Flexible, can accommodate notice periods.
