Position: Senior Security Analyst
Are you a seasoned Security Analyst with expertise in SIEM technologies and looking for a new opportunity? Join a well-established Cyber Security Operations team within the Aerospace, Defence, and Security Sector.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with three days a week in the office.
Key Qualifications:
- Possession of either Splunk Cloud Certified Admin or Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin certification.
- Proven experience in a Senior Security Engineering capacity.
- Solid background in security incident management, malware investigation, and SIEM architecture and setup.
- Expertise in designing security solutions.
- Relevant AWS and Azure certifications along with hands-on experience.
- Must be SC cleared or willing to obtain SC security clearance.
Role Overview:
- Oversee and enhance the Security technology framework for our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) offerings.
- Develop and sustain Splunk solutions.
- Handle support incidents and promote enhancements in the Cyber Defence Feedback Loop.
- Serve as a Splunk expert and provide specialized knowledge.
- Diagnose security and SIEM technologies in a dynamic Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Address client or analyst requirements by examining health alerts, fine-tuning rules, and proposing security policy adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the design of the security ecosystem across various environments (Cloud, on-premises, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
- Advise on third-party Splunk cloud hosting environments and best practices.
- Collaborate with Security Architects to develop security solutions utilizing Splunk.
- Conduct security assessments and suggest enhancements.
- Implement, maintain, and oversee operational security systems.
- Drive ongoing service enhancements.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to strengthen security measures.
- Share insights within the SOC and represent the team in discussions.
- Report on the status of customer environments and manage log source issue tracking.
- Coordinate with SOC Analysts for rule modifications and system management.
- Assist in safeguarding critical cyber defense infrastructure.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and lessons learned following incidents.
- Apply rule modifications and act on behalf of the Security Engineering Lead when necessary.
