Job Description

Novotel London West is a leading hospitality group, providing conference and accommodation services to the international business community. As the Assistant Director of Sales MICE, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding existing relationships through proactive efforts and sales channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate the MICE Sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed budget expectations.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and expand existing relationships.
  • Client Engagement: Foster strong client relationships and develop client engagement levels to drive sales growth.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Project Management: Lead special projects, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
  • Sales and Marketing Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Account Management: Manage a select portfolio of accounts, ensuring strong relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Trade Shows and Sales Trips: Conduct sales trips and attend trade shows to drive business growth and expand existing relationships.
  • Recruitment and Training: Assist with the recruitment process for MICE Sales team members, ensuring effective induction, training, and development.
  • Performance Review: Regularly review performance, recognizing and celebrating success, and refocusing effort where required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior MICE Sales position.
  • Qualifications: Fluency in English, written and spoken, is a must. A third-level qualification in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to move strategy to action.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of local, European, and international MICE markets and sectors is desirable.
