As a Catering Support Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the quality of service across different areas, including the dining room, reception snack area, and patient wards.
Our catering services are integral to the overall experience at Spire Southampton Hospital, known for providing exceptional care and attracting patients from various regions. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to excellence in every aspect of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages to meet specified standards for staff, patients, and visitors. Support the serving of meals in both the dining area and patient wards. Take food and beverage orders, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and preferences. Maintain stock control through effective rotation and date checking. Follow health and safety protocols in compliance with current regulations. Perform general cleaning and dishwashing duties in line with operational schedules.Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience in a catering or food service role. Strong communication abilities. Capacity to build rapport with customers. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
