About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Training Lead to join our team at Galliford Try Holdings plc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing, leading, and managing our business approach to technical training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Development of Technical Training Programs
    • Conduct thorough assessments of our current technical training programs to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
    • Develop and implement new or updated training modules to ensure our employees have the necessary competencies for effective project delivery.
  • Collaboration with Business Units and Learning & Development Team
    • Engage with business unit leaders and the learning & development team to develop training needs and ensure alignment with our business objectives.
    • Support the learning & development team in the redevelopment of career path requirements and identification of core competencies.
  • Establishing Effective Training Content and Platforms
    • Establish principles for effective technical training content and platforms for each competency topic in conjunction with the learning & development team.
    • Develop and implement training programs that meet industry quality standards and best practices.
  • Project Level Training Content
    • Develop training content for project-level training programs, including internal quality toolbox talks and external supply chain quality toolbox talks.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop module content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Process Development and Improvement
    • Develop and implement processes for assignment of staff to mandatory training modules, staff request and self-registration for modules, and recording attendance at all modules of each type.
    • Streamline processes for training management and ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications and Experience
    • CIOB, ICE, or similar professional membership.
    • Design and operational delivery knowledge and experience.
    • Industry knowledge across multiple construction sectors.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to manage and coordinate staff and resources.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Ability to use Office 365 tools: Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
