Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with equipment and facilities, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant, equipment, and building services, including fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Health and Safety: Support the health and safety of colleagues and clients by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Expertise: Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete required documentation and reports, including risk assessments and maintenance records.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with colleagues and clients to manage maintenance tasks, respond to queries, and provide updates on maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A recognized or time-served apprenticeship in a relevant trade, such as electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Skills: Good multi-skilled ability, experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters, hydraulic and pneumatic experience, and ability to fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Qualifications: Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard, City and Guilds Mechanical qualifications, and experience working at height.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Working at Height Qualification: IPAF and AP qualifications.
  • Heavy Engineering Experience: Experience working in heavy engineering environments.
