Our engineering client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter to join their machine shop team.

This position involves programming, setting, and proving out components on high/low volume CNC machines, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set CNC machinery, ordering necessary tooling to complete scheduled jobs.
  • Perform general machine maintenance and self-inspection of manufactured components.
  • Work on manual machines as required, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  • Conduct general cleaning, sorting, and tidying of the machine shop, including cleaning and stripping down machines after use.
  • Assemble and pack finished components, preparing them for further processing.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the line manager.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality outputs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Sliding Head & CNC lathes, programming, and setting (Fanuc).
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery and tooling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced production environment.
