We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Acute Inpatient Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing expert assessment, investigation, and management of high-quality person-centred treatment plans and discharge planning.

About the Role

You will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and expertise. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. The role will consist of 10 PAs, and you will engage with the development of your Job Plan.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake Responsible Clinician responsibilities with the support of a Consultant Nurse.
  • Provide expert assessment, investigation, and management of high-quality person-centred treatment plans and discharge planning.
  • Understand and comply with and promote the requirements of relevant legal considerations within an evidence-based framework.
  • Support trainees and participate in the supervision and support of the higher trainee programme.
